The 24th Annual Palm Beach International Boat Show, March 26 - 29, 2009, is one of the top ten boat shows in the country - featuring more than $350 million worth of boats, yachts and accessories from the world’s leading marine manufacturers. It is truly an International Show. The event includes more than 1,000 boats from 8 foot inflatables, power boats, fishing boats, center consoles, bow riders, personal watercraft to superyachts over 150’. Plus there’s the FREE Kids’ Fishing Clinics, Xtreme Sport Fishing Seminars, music, food and drinks that make it a great outing for the whole family. The show encompasses close to 1 million sq. ft. of exhibit space on land, in tents and in water along Flagler Drive and the Intercoatal Waterway.  There is plenty of parking and docks available if you come via your own boat.

West Palm Beach Antique and Collectibles show, Nov. 28th

The West Palm Beach Antique and Collectibles show will be held over Thanksgiving weekend, the first major shopping weekend of the holiday season, November 28 – 30 at the Americraft Expo Center at the South Florida Fair in West Palm Beach. This will be a great opportunity to find unique holiday gift ideas among one of the largest arrays of dealers and merchandise seen in one event and as always will include special services for visitors such as glass and porcelain repair, jewelry repair, silver and gold plating and doll repair. Marathon of the Palm Beaches 2008

Join Us on December 7, as a participant or a volunteer.  This Palm Beach county marathon is a qualifier for the 2009 & 2010 Boston Marathons and is sanctioned by USATF.  The 26.2 and 13.1 mile figure eight courses start and finish on the picturesque Intracoastal Waterway near the Meyer Amphitheatre in Downtown West Palm Beach.  The Marathon along the Intracoastal, and through the Historic Old Northwood, overlooking yachts and the mansions of Palm Beach to a turnaround on Washington Rd. and back to the finish at the Meyer Amphitheatre.

Holiday Boat Parade 2008 of the Palm Beaches

Beginning at 6 o’clock pm, the holiday boat parade, one of the premier holiday events in South Florida, will be starting from Peanut Island, and traveling all the way to the Jupiter Lighthouse!  Watch the boat parade at any of the bridges between Blue Heron bridge, up to the Indiantown bridge. The Citrus Bowl Parade serves as a prelude to the Capital One Bowl, which matches the second-ranked college football teams of the powerhouse Big Ten and Southeastern conferences at the Florida Citrus Bowl Stadium on New Year’s Day

The Florida Citrus Bowl Stadium is owned and operated by the City of Orlando and is part of the Orlando Centroplex, which includes the Amway Arena, Bob Carr Performing Arts Center and the Expo Center.

Key West World Championship Offshore Powerboat Races Set For Nov. 2-9

Maintaining its reputation as the Indianapolis of offshore powerboat racing, Key West is set to host the 28th annual contest to crown the world’s top teams Nov. 2-9.

The 2008 Key West World Championship is to kick off with a parade of race boats down the island’s legendary Duval Street, scheduled for 4 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 2. The action continues through the week with races on Wednesday, Nov. 5; Friday, Nov. 7; and Sunday, Nov. 9.

For racers, Key West is famous as a race course that can test equipment endurance in rough water conditions and minutes later, hull and propulsion design for the fastest possible speeds.

A portion of the 6.5-mile course runs through Key West Harbor, providing smooth water where speeds can exceed 140 mph and affording spectator opportunities found in few other venues.
