West Palm Beach is a historic city originally founded as home to the many servants of Henry Flagler’s grand hotels on neighboring Palm Beach. The skyline of this beautiful city is constantly changing. New residential buildings, condos, and attractions are common downtown, and an increasing number are being built. The revitalization of the downtown area has created a beautiful, active new city with a new convention center, a new city hall and the downtown library currently under construction. Downtown’s Cityplace and Clematis street are lively and active with free, weekly concerts and events, new shops, restaurants and bars. The Kravis center of the performing arts and several museums and annual events such as the Palm Beach Boat Show and Sunfest have brought culture and new found activity to this newly redeveloped city.
